Home Sweet Home

I'm home :). Florida definitely had its ups and downs. During the week there were definite times when I just wanted to give up. I do not know how Andy does it week after week! I love the kids and it was heartbreaking to hear their stories. Some of them I have heard before but throughout the week I was able to learn more and I just can't even imagine going through what some of them have gone through. Anyway we arrived in Florida on Saturday. Our houses were incredible! The girls house and 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths upstairs with a bedroom and one full and one half bath downstairs. And there was a pool and hot tub right outside the backdoor :) Sunday we rested and went to the opening ceremony which was pretty good. Monday we started working :) we had to leave our houses at 7:15 which made for an early morning! The first and second day our group split up. Half painted a house while the other half went a picked up trash at a local park. The second day half worked on a roof while the other half picked up brush at the park. And we also got to help pull down a tree which was fun :). The rest of the week we worked at a womens house cleaning up the yard and we even finished early :)

Saturday we went to Cocoa Beach and to Downtown Disney. It was a lot of fun however I was exhausted afterwards. Sunday and Monday we drove home and here I am :) Still a little tired but recovering! I am definitely excited for fireworks though :)

FLORIDA

So Friday I am leaving to go to Florida with Andy and people from his church for One Heart Many Hands. I am very excited to see how God will work in the teenagers lives and also mine. However, it is supposed to rain almost everyday and still be in the 90s. Hopefully I will survive :).

My Life

I'm not really sure what I'm going to write in here except sometimes I feel the need to write so I thought starting a blog might be good.

The topic that really made me want to start writing came to mind when I was trying to take a picture. I was trying to take a picture of Greg hitting through the fence. My camera however decided it was going to focus on the fence instead of Greg. I was getting frustrated because my camera wasn't focusing on the correct thing. I then started thinking about how many of us tend to focus on the wrong thing. So many times we are trying so hard to focus on something that's far away instead of focusing on something thats right in front of us. So recently I've been trying to change the way I think try to make sure what I'm focusing on is what I should be focusing on.
